Favorite Authors

I know a lot of us enjoy reading when we can find the time. Shirley had mentioned one Sunday to me about sharing our books and I thought it was a great idea. I love reading series, especially the Christian Novels. Here are some of my favorites:

  1. The Cape Refuge Series by Terri Blackstock [4 books]
  2. The 911 Newpointe Series by Terri Blackstock [5 books]
  3. The Sun Coast Chronicles by Terri Blackstock [4 books]
  4. The Restoration Series by Terri Blackstock [3 books]
  5. The Cape Light Series by Thomas Kinkade & Katherine Spencer [7 books]
  6. The Island of Heavenly Daze by Lori Copeland & Angela Hunt [5 books]
  7. The O'Malley Series by Dee Henderson [6 books]
  8. The Left Behind Series by Tim LaHaye and Jerry Jenkins

If anyone would like to borrow any just let me know. I am one of these people that collect these books and save them. So, don't mind sharing just return okay? ~smile~

If anyone has the O'Malley series I would love to borrow them. Those I don't have all of. Erin got me hooked on that series!

Hope to hear from y'all soon.

Scrapbooking and Greeting Cards

Hi everyone this is Sherlyn. Thought I'd start my own blog to see if I could get anyone interested in sharing books we've read and scrapbooking and making greeting cards. I know Jessica has tried the scrapbooking before but as I understand to no avail. It really is fun and a great way to turn your regular pictures into wonderful memories. Years from now when your children or grandchildren want to see family pictures, they won't have to keep asking who, what, when or where? Journaling or just titles or words play a big part in scrapbooking. They can be very simple or extravagant. Whatever you choose. There is no special rule to scrapbooking. You can use just about anything you want to make a great page. Just use your imagination or copy from someone or a magazine!

I love making greeting cards as well. Greeting cards are very simple to make. It again depends on how much time or how simple you want it to be. It's a lot of fun to use regular buttons, ribbon, rickrack, torn paper, paper scraps, just about any kind of emblishment you can imagine!

Here are a couple examples of some I've made:

So, if anyone is interested just let me know and we can start getting together at least once or twice a month. We all need a break from everyday problems and the fast speed of life. This will slow you down and relax you. So, come on ladies let's get going.......
